Principle of operation of a cone crusher

In cone crushers, the process of crushing takes place in a squeezing space between surfaces of two truncated cones: stationary external and moving internal. The rotation of a moving cone is carried out using a special eccentric bearing, in which the shaft end of the moving cone is installed at an angle of 2-4 degrees to the geometrical axis of the crusher. The eccentric rotates driven by the crusher drive. Thus, working surfaces of the cones periodically approach and move away from each other. Approaching each other, they squeeze rocks with pressing, bending and abrasion forces, and moving away from each other, they release the crushed material falling under its on weight. The process of crushing and final product unloading is continuous.
