Ball mill

«Tula Machines» LLC develops and produces machines for mining, chemical and oil & gas industries.

Buy our ball mills and the auxiliary equipment. The ball mill is a drum-type grinding machine, its principle of operation is crushing materials with abrasion forces by special steel ball in a rotating chamber. Grinding balls are consumables, since they are worn at work. The balls are loaded into the working chamber through a special hole. The drum chamber is driven from an electric motor.

The design and principle of operation of the ball mill

The grinding complex on the basis of the ball mill includes the following components: loading hopper (pos. 1); vibrating feeder (pos. 2); ball mill (pos. 3); conveyor belt (pos. 4); fan (pos. 5); cyclone hopper (pos. 6); sector feeder (pos. 7).

A source material is loaded into a loading hopper (pos. 1) (it has a special vibrating feeder at the bottom), over which there is a screen with a mesh size of 100 mm (it depends on particular source materials). At the stage of loading the material is sorted (particles with a size of less than 100 mm is loaded into the hopper). From the hopper the material enters the vibrating feeder (pos. 2) installed on a special frame. The feeder is equipped with two industrial vibrators, which provide the reciprocation movement of the material casing its entering (through a special tube) into a working chamber of the ball mill (pos. 3).

The ball mill is installed on support rollers which are mounted on a special frame. The mill is driven through a drive roll from an electric motor. At the rotation of the working drum chamber, grinding balls are lifted by special internal plates of the chamber and then released, falling onto the processed material. As a result, it is crushed by the balls. The final product together with grinding balls moves towards the unloading hole, where it is screened and transported into an unloading hopper. From there, the material enters the conveyer belt (pos. 4) and to the finish zone. Dust particles are separated by a fan and are sucked into an aspiration system, where, passing through a cyclone hopper, they settle down in a special hopper. From the hopper, using a sector feeder, the waste is fed into bags.
