Types of belt conveyors
Stationary belt conveyors are most popular among our customers. Most often, such conveyors are inclined and provided with grooved rollers. Their main purpose: transporting and lifting (to required heights) materials from one processing machine to another.
Mobile belt conveyors are required for the production with mobile or semi-stationary units.
Cantilever-rotating belt conveyors are usually installed at final products storage facilities. Due to the rotation of the conveyor, material storage piles can be expanded. It allows not only to separate a zone of unloading from the conveyor from a zone of loading from the storage, but also to decrease the height of the piles and conveyor, thereby reducing corresponding expenses, loads and power consumption. Using cantilever-rotating conveyors, it is possible to change the direction of materials transportation, to develop more flexible technological schemes that allow to provide various modes of processing materials. Thus, producers can upgrade their facilities, increase their capacity and diversify their line of offered products.

Principle of operation of a belt conveyor
Materials are loaded into a loading hopper of a belt conveyor, which duly prevents any losses during transportation. To protect the conveyor belt from high stresses in its loading zone, the number of rollers in this zone is increased. Materials are transported by the belt driven from a special drive. Belt conveyors control units allow to adjust their speed.
The belt is tensioned using a special device. Basic (loaded) rollers are located under the belt, supporting rollers under the conveyor, and aligning (deflector) rollers from both sides of the belt. During the conveyer operation, the material can stick to the belt. To prevent such sticking, the conveyor has special cleaning scrapers.
Belt conveyor design
Despite a series of modifications of belt conveyors, all they have a similar design. The basis for all their mechanisms is a metal frame construction. Depending on particular purposes of conveyors, their overall dimensions and loads, the metal frame can be assembled or welded with the use of metal profiles. The design can be completely or partially welded (to simplify transporting separate parts).
Conveyor belt is made of strong elastic materials withstanding heavy loads. The belts are produced with a width of different sizes.
The conveyor belt is to be selected taking into account various factors (operation conditions, type and form of transported materials). The belts are produced in heat resistant, frost resistant, food or general executions. The belt itself, depending on areas of application, can be: smooth, corrugated, chevron, with corrugated boards and transverse ribs.
The belt is moved upon rollers. All rollers are divided into basic (loaded), supporting and aligning.
Basic (loaded) rollers are intended to withstand corresponding loads from transported materials. Basic rollers systems can be straight (one long roller on its support) and grooved (two-three rollers forming a groove with the belt). To damper impact loads on the conveyor and to prevent damages to the belt in loading zones, it is possible to install corresponding shock-absorbing mechanisms.
Supporting rollers are installed under the conveyor (in an unloaded belt zone), they only support the belt to prevent its sagging.
Aligning, or centering rollers protect the belt from moving toward its sides. Such rollers represent themselves straight or grooved roller systems with special deflector rollers.
Conveyor belt
A conveyor belt is driven from a special drive roller. Depending on loads, operation conditions or requirements of customers, the drive roller can be driven from an electric motor with a reducer, gear motor or drum motor.
To tension the belt, there are special tension rollers, positions of which can be adjusted. All rollers can have smooth or rough surfaces for reliable interaction with a conveyor belt.
